Report: PayPal exploring sale following declined buyout offer
According to The Wall Street Journal, PayPal is currently engaged in discussions regarding a possible sale with a group of investors that includes Advent International and Stripe. These negotiations come after a previous acquisition bid was turned down. Back in July, Stripe and Advent had teamed up to offer $60.50 per share for PayPal, which would have placed the total valuation of the payments firm at approximately $53 billion.
