Report: Indian Fanta contains triple the sugar of UK version
Rajya Sabha member Milind Deora has responded to findings suggesting that a can of Fanta in London has 63 calories, whereas the version sold in India holds nearly three times that amount of sugar. Additionally, the Indian product includes artificial coloring that mandates clear warning labels in Europe, while the same ingredient is only mentioned in the fine print locally. Deora stated on social media that he had previously pushed the FSSAI to adopt a stricter approach regarding these manufacturing practices.
