Report: 68% of firms funded by Centre's ₹1-lakh crore tech scheme linked to panel members

According to a report by the Indian Express, 68% of the 22 businesses that secured loans from the government's ₹1-lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund share connections with seven of the 12 individuals on the selection committee. Out of the total ₹2,192 crore disbursed, 15 companies were awarded ₹1,377 crore. Notably, nine of those firms have ties to the committee's chairman.
