An analysis covering more than 350 research papers indicates that consuming lower amounts of protein might boost metabolic health, decrease cell damage, and trigger biological processes associated with increased longevity. The researchers pointed out that many inactive individuals eat more protein than their bodies require, which could lead to adverse health effects. Previous clinical studies have also demonstrated that people who decreased their protein consumption experienced reductions in both weight and body fat.
