RBI maintains repo rate for the fourth consecutive time

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra stated that the MPC has opted to hold the repo rate steady at 5.25%. This marks the fourth straight meeting where the committee has maintained the rate, following the previous 0.25% reduction back in December. Additionally, the standing deposit facility rate remains at 5%, while the marginal standing facility rate stays at 5.5%.
