Rampur youth team restores 4 Ganga ghats and plants 1,000 saplings
In Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, a group of 15 young volunteers known as the Cleanup Patwai team has successfully rehabilitated four Ganga ghats. The group has cleared over a tonne of plastic waste, while also working to restore local ponds and tidy up parks, markets, and various public areas. Beyond these cleanup efforts, the volunteers have planted 1,000 trees. The project was started by two friends who initially highlighted these environmental concerns on social media prior to seeking support from local officials.
