Rajasthan woman receives Presidential award for creating adaptive chair for children
President Droupadi Murmu presented the National Grassroots Innovation Award 2026 to Neha Solanki, a resident of Rajasthan, for designing a specialized chair for children suffering from cerebral palsy. Solanki created the device for her own son after he was denied admission by a school that could not support his needs. The development of the chair took nine months of collaborative work with physiotherapists.
