Raipur farmer demands ₹3,500 crore, claims airport land was seized from family by British

A 53-year-old farmer from Raipur has approached the Supreme Court, asserting that the land where the terminal and gardens of Swami Vivekananda Airport are located is his family's property. Ashwani Bandhe stated that the British government had acquired the land for military purposes during World War II. He is now seeking compensation of approximately ₹3,500 crore, which covers interest, unpaid rent, and other long-standing dues.
