R Ashwin named captain and mentor for Rahul Dravid's Dublin Guardians
Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has signed on with the Dublin Guardians for the first-ever European T20 Premier League (ETPL). The team, which is co-owned by Rahul Dravid, has handed Ashwin the dual roles of captain and mentor. Previously, Ashwin secured a deal with the San Francisco Unicorns for the 2026 Major League Cricket (MLC) season. He also joined the Sydney Thunder in the BBL in 2025, though he did not make an appearance for the club.
