Punjab reports 154 immigration fraud cases in three years with zero prosecutions
On Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs informed Parliament that Punjab has registered 154 cases involving illegal immigration over the past three years, yet not a single prosecution sanction has been granted. The state saw 80 complaints in 2025, marking a significant jump from the 18 cases reported in 2024 and 56 in 2023. Nationally, Andhra Pradesh recorded the highest volume of such complaints.
