Pune toddler dies after falling into open drain; contractor faces charges

A two-year-old child named Soham Lakhan Kasbe lost his life after slipping into a water-logged drainage pit close to his residence in Pune. Authorities have filed an FIR against the contractor, accusing them of death caused by negligence. Soham's mother explained that the excavation work created a trench measuring three to four feet in depth and five feet in width right in front of their home.
