Producer of $510 million hit 'Obsession' files lawsuit over missing profit share
Leonora Ann Darby, the executive producer behind the horror movie 'Obsession', has initiated legal action against James Harris and Mark Lane, the co-founders of Tea Shop Productions. Darby claims she was not paid her agreed-upon 33% cut of the film's earnings. While she acknowledges receiving an initial $300,000, she asserts that she was shut out of subsequent profit distributions. The film, which was acquired by Focus Features for $16.2 million, went on to generate approximately $510 million in global box office revenue.
