Prashant Kishor faces blow as multiple Jan Suraaj members defect to BJP ahead of Bankipur by-election
The Jan Suraaj party has suffered a significant loss before the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar, with several of its leaders moving to the BJP. Among those who switched parties are KC Sinha, Ritesh Ranjan, and Sandip Kumar Singh, all of whom were Jan Suraaj candidates during the 2025 Bihar polls. Additionally, Ritesh Ranjan’s spouse, Vinita, and the district head of the Jan Suraaj Kisan Morcha, Braj Kishore Sinha, have also joined the BJP.
