A study reveals that inhaling contaminated air could attach chemical markers to sperm DNA, which may suppress genes essential for healthy sperm growth. Experts at the University of Massachusetts examined semen from more than 2,000 participants and discovered 39 genetic alterations associated with air pollutants. The research team noted that nitrogen dioxide and ozone had the most significant impact.
