PML(N) labels PoK demonstrators as 'patriots' following months of unrest
Following a months-long violent suppression of demonstrations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the PML(N), led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has described 99 percent of the protesters as "patriotic." The party is preparing to assume control of the administration in PoK after an election process that India has dismissed as a "complete farce." The crackdown in the region has resulted in the deaths of at least 100 civilians.
