PM Modi's tenure saw medical seats double, says Bansuri Swaraj
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj stated that the number of medical colleges has seen a two-fold increase over the past 12 years during the administration led by PM Narendra Modi. She noted that higher education enrollment grew by 91 lakh, with women accounting for 50 lakh of that figure. Additionally, Swaraj highlighted that the count of IITs grew from 16 to 23, AIIMS facilities rose from 7 to 20, and the number of IIMs climbed from 13 to 21.
