PM Modi reaches out to Harsimrat Badal following assault on Sukhbir Badal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday to check on the condition of her husband, Sukhbir Singh Badal, who was targeted by a Nihang Sikh in Nanded, Maharashtra. Authorities have since taken the assailant into custody. Meanwhile, SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia has called for the central government to initiate a CBI investigation into the incident.
