PM Modi inaugurates ₹7,500 crore semiconductor unit in Gujarat
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened CG Semi's outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) plant located in Sanand, Gujarat. Constructed under the India Semiconductor Mission at a cost exceeding ₹7,500 crore, this facility is set to manufacture up to 5 billion semiconductor chips every year. According to IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, these chips are destined for export to the US, Japan, and Europe.
