PM Modi hits out at Gandhi family over airport naming legacy
While launching the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Gandhi family, noting that airports were previously named after only one family. He highlighted that the number of active airports has grown from 74 in 2014 to 166 currently. He further mentioned that his government has named the Ayodhya airport after Valmiki and the Punjab facility after Sant Ravidas.
