Parliamentary committee reports high vacancy rates at NCERT and CBSE

A parliamentary committee has reported that more than 50% of approved positions at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) are currently empty. Similarly, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is operating with 44% of its roles unfilled. The committee warned that CBSE's heavy dependence on temporary staff might compromise educational standards. Furthermore, the panel urged for an increase in government funding for the education sector.
