Parked cars take up 60% of Bengaluru's road space: Minister
Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda stated that parked vehicles currently occupy almost 60% of the city's road space. To help traffic flow better, the Karnataka government is looking into creating a specialized agency for parking enforcement. Additionally, the minister emphasized the need for improved sidewalks, increased reliance on micromobility, and more rigorous rule enforcement.
