Owaisi questions mosque demolition in UP, says it predated the collectorate
AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted to the destruction of a mosque reportedly deemed illegal within the District Magistrate's office premises in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Questioning the move, Owaisi asked if the constitutional right to religious freedom is no longer valid for Muslims. He further asked why Muslim places of worship are frequently torn down using weak excuses. Owaisi asserted that the mosque was established before the collectorate office was built.
