Owaisi criticizes High Court verdict on hijab, says religious practices are for followers to determine
AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized the Allahabad High Court’s decision to dismiss a petition from a Muslim student who wanted to wear a hijab in school. Owaisi stated, "It's our religion, and we'll decide what is essential. Who are the judges to decide? This is an attack on our religion." The court had previously ruled that wearing a headscarf is not a mandatory requirement under Islamic faith.
