Over 500 babies in Peru given the name Erling Haaland
According to Peru's National Registry of Identification and Civil Status, 563 infants have been given the name of Norwegian forward Erling Haaland. The number of such registrations rose throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup, specifically following Norway's victory over Brazil which secured their spot in the quarter-finals. During the competition, Haaland has recorded seven goals, including two in the match against Brazil.
