Over 3,700 apps banned by government to curb cyber fraud
Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar told the Lok Sabha that the central government has prohibited 3,718 mobile applications as of June 30 to stop cybercrimes across the nation. Additionally, authorities have blocked 5.77 lakh IMEI numbers and more than 15.75 lakh SIM cards. During this timeframe, the government successfully protected over ₹11,158 crore while addressing more than 32.80 lakh reports of cyber fraud.
