Over 1,800 volunteers drag 400-tonne Japanese castle two metres using ropes
In Japan, a crowd of approximately 1,800 individuals utilized ropes to manually haul the 400,000-kilogram Hirosaki Castle a distance of two metres back toward its historical location. The structure was previously relocated in 2015 to allow for necessary restoration work on its stone foundation. Authorities intend to recruit about 4,100 people to help shift the building another five metres by hand before August concludes.
