Over 1.1 million voters removed from Delhi rolls prior to SIR: Report
According to a Hindustan Times report, approximately 11 lakh names were struck off Delhi's voter lists in the period between January 2025 and June 2026, ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The data indicates this accounts for roughly 7.07% of the 2025 electorate and 11.32% of the voter base as of June 2026. Authorities have stated that such removals are standard procedure and that electoral rolls are subject to quarterly updates.
