Oval groundsman involved in Gambhir dispute suspended after upsetting ECB staffer

Lee Fortis, the head groundsman at The Oval known for his run-in with Indian coach Gautam Gambhir last year, has been sent on leave following a dispute with a staff member from the ECB. Reports indicate the employee was reduced to tears during the confrontation. After the incident, Fortis met with Surrey CEO Steve Elworthy, departed the grounds, and has remained away from The Oval ever since.
