Ousted Ukrainian Defence Minister demands elections during war
Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who was recently dismissed, is pushing for Presidential elections to be held despite the ongoing war, directly questioning Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s authority. Fedorov has alleged that the administration is suffering from deep-rooted corruption and operational failures that are obstructing the country's defense against Russia. Since the onset of the Russian invasion in 2022, elections in Ukraine have been put on hold due to the declaration of martial law.
