OpenAI safety lead departs; Saachi Jain takes over on interim basis
According to a report by WIRED, Johannes Heidecke, the leader of OpenAI's safety systems, is stepping down. This move follows a company restructuring that merged the research and safety departments. Moving forward, the safety division will be under the supervision of Mia Glaese, the Vice President of Research. Saachi Jain, a former safety team lead at the firm, has been named the interim head of safety systems and will report directly to Glaese.
