Odisha government to deduct maintenance from salaries of defaulting employees

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Sunday that the state will now directly deduct court-mandated maintenance payments from the paychecks of government employees who fail to pay. These funds will be electronically sent to the ex-wives and children of the defaulting staff. This move follows a series of complaints brought to the Chief Minister's attention.
