No Bangladesh Premier League scheduled for this year
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal has announced that the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will not take place this year. He explained that the board aims to earn profits from franchise cricket rather than incur losses, stating that the tournament will remain on hold until the financial problems are addressed. The BCB has reported losses totaling approximately $3.3 million (roughly ₹31.5 crore) from the BPL over the last two seasons.
