Nitin Gadkari hits back at ethanol critics, highlights waste-to-fuel potential
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has addressed concerns that producing ethanol takes away food supplies. Dismissing the criticism as a limited perspective on biofuels, Gadkari stated that city-based thinkers often wrongly equate ethanol with simple alcohol. He emphasized that ethanol can be derived from many different materials, noting that it is even possible to manufacture it using spoiled fruits and vegetables.
