Nick Kyrgios receives tennis suspension following positive cocaine test
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has been handed a ban following a positive test for cocaine at an ATP tournament held in Mallorca this past June. A laboratory certified by WADA identified benzoylecgonine, a byproduct of cocaine, in his test sample, leading to a suspension that has been active since August 4. Kyrgios acknowledged committing a "huge mistake," accepted complete accountability, and announced he will withdraw from the public eye for a period of 28 days.
