New Shambhu to get Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal by DFCCIL
DFCCIL has started work on a Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal in New Shambhu, Punjab, and recently conducted a pre-bid session with relevant stakeholders. This new terminal is set to boost freight infrastructure in the area. Its value will increase further once the approved Rajpura Bypass Line is completed, as it will provide a direct link to Kauli and let cargo trains avoid the busy Rajpura Yard, leading to better operational efficiency.
