New microdrone tracks and eliminates mosquitoes in flight
A recently released video demonstrates a microdrone capable of tracking and destroying mosquitoes while they are flying. Developed by the French company Tornyol, this 40-gram device utilizes sonar technology to hunt. It emits ultrasonic pulses and employs small microphones to detect the specific wingbeat patterns of insects, allowing it to distinguish mosquitoes from bees. Once identified, the drone flies directly into the target to kill it. The device operates completely autonomously and functions without making any noise.
