New entry fee and time limits for Mysuru Dasara elephants
People visiting the Mysuru Palace grounds to see the Dasara elephants are now required to pay a fee of ₹100, with a reduced rate of ₹50 for children under 12. Additionally, the Forest Department has restricted viewing sessions to 20 minutes and prohibited activities such as taking close-up photos, filming social media reels, and feeding the animals. These updated regulations have sparked dissatisfaction among both local residents and tourists.
