New Chinese chip maps brain significantly faster than Nvidia's A100

Researchers in China have created a 40-nanometer memory chip capable of modeling intricate brain structures in real time, which could speed up surgical procedures and medical diagnoses. By embedding an artificial neural network directly into the hardware, the chip can reconstruct the folded surface of the brain in less than 0.5 seconds. According to reports, this technology performs the task 50 to 478 times quicker than the Nvidia A100 GPU, while also lowering both power usage and latency.
