New Begonia plant species identified in Arunachal Pradesh
Researchers from the Botanical Survey of India have identified a previously unknown plant species named Begonia quadricornualata within the Papum Pare region of Arunachal Pradesh. The plant is notable for its distinct four-horned fruit and bright red-brown bristles. This finding raises the count of recorded Begonia species in the region to 50. Currently, the species is classified as "Data Deficient."
