Nepal requests DNA samples from families abroad to identify flood victims

On Wednesday, Nepal released an official directive requesting that families residing in other countries provide DNA samples to assist in identifying individuals who went missing during the recent flash floods. Officials stated that samples must be collected from the nearest biological relative, prioritizing parents and children, followed by siblings. DNA from spouses, in-laws, or adopted family members will not be accepted for the identification process.
