Nepal flash flood: Workers received warning text 30 seconds before disaster

A group of laborers building a bridge in Nepal were alerted to incoming flash floods via an SMS message only half a minute before the event hit. One worker recalled, "I ran like I had never run before...Others might not be so lucky." He further explained, "I looked down at the phone and by the time I looked up, water was already rushing in."
