Nehru's statue re-erected in West Bengal following Congress' 24-hour ultimatum

In West Bengal's Durgapur, a 20-foot statue of the late Pt Jawaharlal Nehru was reportedly torn down with a crane and discarded in a neighboring forest. While the Congress party blamed BJP workers for the act, the BJP refuted the allegations. Following a 24-hour deadline given to the police by the Congress, the statue was put back in place during a late-night operation. Subsequently, BJP workers placed garlands on the restored statue.
