NEET and JEE admissions could soon include 50% weightage for Class 12 scores
According to a PTI report, Class 12 board exam results might soon account for 50% of the weightage for admissions that are currently determined by entrance exams like JEE and NEET. A source informed PTI that these adjustments are under consideration to lower the reliance on coaching centers and repeated exam attempts, while also moving toward a system of on-demand, computer-based testing. A nine-member committee from the Education Ministry is currently reviewing these proposed reforms.
