NASA astronaut of Indian descent takes Indian students' artwork to the ISS
Anil Menon, an astronaut of Indian origin, brought along illustrations crafted by students from India on his flight to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard the Soyuz MS-29. These pieces of art were produced by the victors of the 'First Forever' contest, which honors the space partnership between India and Russia as well as the historic journey of Yuri Gagarin. Menon departed from Kazakhstan for his initial eight-month assignment at the ISS.
