NALSAR Hyderabad invites CJI for convocation despite student backlash
The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) in Hyderabad has extended an invitation to CJI Surya Kant to serve as the chief guest at its upcoming convocation, despite ongoing opposition from the student body. Previously, approximately 450 of the university's 1,400 students submitted a letter to the administration expressing their disapproval of the CJI's presence, citing his recent comments regarding the NEET demonstrations. The convocation ceremony is scheduled to take place during August or September.
