Senior actress Nafisa Ali shared that she contemplated giving up her acting career following her 2018 stage 3 cancer diagnosis, noting that she felt she "looked bad." Nafisa mentioned she nearly withdrew from her new movie, 'Max, Min and Meowzaki,' but director Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy encouraged her to return to the screen. She further stated, "I'm still fighting."
