NADA suspends Asian Games gold winner Swapna Barman for doping violation
The National Anti-Doping Agency has placed a provisional suspension on Swapna Barman, a former Asian Games winner, following a positive test for Boldenone, which is a prohibited anabolic-androgenic steroid. The 29-year-old athlete had already declared her retirement from the sport. Swapna achieved a historic milestone at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, where she became the first athlete from India to secure a gold medal in the heptathlon.
