Murali Sreeshankar secures back-to-back CWG silver with 8.09m long jump
Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar has bagged his second straight silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking his best attempt at 8.09 metres. The gold medal went to Jamaica's Tajay Gayle with a jump of 8.15 metres, and Scotland's Stephen Mackenzie earned the bronze with 8.08 metres. Having previously won silver at the 2022 Birmingham Games, Sreeshankar has now made history as the first athlete from India to secure two long jump medals at the Commonwealth Games.
