Mumbai residents move court after BMC razes entry doors of ₹27 crore luxury homes

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has demolished foyer areas at the Rustomjee Crown luxury complex in Mumbai, citing encroachment on public land. Officials have issued notices to 186 out of 372 units and removed the entrance doors of eight five-bedroom apartments, which are valued at ₹27.27 crore each. In response, residents have filed a petition in the High Court, arguing that the developer had marketed these areas as private, exclusive spaces.
