MP students risk lives crossing stop-dam to reach school; video goes viral
A viral video from Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district captures schoolchildren leaping across a hazardous stop-dam to get to class because there is no bridge. Local officials explained that the students prefer this risky crossing because taking the road would extend their commute by 8 to 10 kilometers. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Vidisha stated that the administration plans to provide bicycles to the students so they can travel via the safer road route instead.
